DVD stands for Digital Versatile Disc. DVD is also known as Super Density Disc (SDD).
What is DVD?
DVD is an optical disc storage media. DVDs are also known as Super Density Disc (SDD). DVDs offer higher storage capacity than CDs while having the same dimensions. DVDs are primarily used to store files, music, or movies. A DVD can store up to 6 movies and can be played back on your television or computer device.
DVDs are called optical storage devices, a kind of secondary memory like CD and Blu-ray disc. Depending upon the disc type, a DVD can store several Gigabytes of data (4.7GB – 17.08GB).
